Privacy policy
TripSem ("the site") follows Korea's Personal Information Protection Act. This page explains how personal information is handled. If this English text and the Korean version differ, the Korean version applies.
First, what the site does not take
- There is no sign-up. No usernames, passwords, names or phone numbers are collected.
- Values you type into a calculator are not sent to a server. All calculation happens on your device, and inputs stay in your browser's storage.
There are four exceptions, and each happens only when you press a button. If you don't press it, nothing is sent.
① On the Korean itinerary page, pressing "위치 찾기" (find location) sends the place and city names you wrote to OpenStreetMap to look up coordinates.
② On the Korean power bank carry-on calculator, pressing "라벨 사진으로 읽기" (read from a label photo) sends the label photo you chose to Anthropic (Claude) to read the numbers (Wh, mAh, V). The photo is redrawn smaller on your device before it is sent, so the location data stored in the photo (where it was taken) does not go with it. If the photo is missing some numbers but a model number can be read, that model name (with the brand and any capacity read from the photo) is then sent on to Anthropic (Claude) in the same way, to search the web for the maker's specifications.
③ On the same calculator, pressing "사양 찾기" (find specs) sends the brand, model name and capacity you wrote to Anthropic (Claude), which searches the web for the maker's specifications.
④ In the Korean site's trip planner ("내 여행 만들기"), for an airport without cost data, pressing the "숙소 보기" (view stays) button that shows your dates (e.g. "11/18~11/22 숙소 보기") sends the airport code, dates, number of people and number of rooms you chose to the site's server. The server sends only that airport's city name to Agoda to find Agoda's search number for the city, then takes you to those search results.
In all four cases your IP address is not passed on, because the site's server (Cloudflare) makes the request on your behalf. The site does not store the photo or the model name; it discards them after returning the result. The city name → Agoda search number found in ④ is stored so the same city is not looked up again; it contains no information about you. Details are in sections 1, 2, 5 and 6. - Trip videos (Korean site) are made on your device. Itinerary, title, dates, party size, boarding-pass name and your own photos are used only to make the video and are not sent to a server. The video file stays on your device; sharing happens through the app you choose. Map images (tiles) come from the site's map server (Cloudflare), which leaves the same access log as opening any page (section 5).
- No payments are taken. No card or bank details are collected.
1. What is processed and how
| Type | Items | How |
|---|---|---|
| Access logs | IP address, time of access, browser and device information, requested address | Created automatically when you visit |
| Power bank photo and model name | The label photo you chose (a smaller copy), and the brand, model name and capacity you wrote or that were read from the photo | Only when you press "read from a label photo" or "find specs" (not stored by the site) |
| Usage-limit record | IP address, date, number of presses that day | Created automatically when you press "read from a label photo", "find specs" or "view stays" (airports without cost data) |
| Visit statistics | Pages visited, referrer, approximate country, browser and device type | Cloudflare Web Analytics (no cookies or personal identifiers) |
| Advertising identifiers | Ad cookie identifiers, ad views and clicks | Google AdSense |
| Affiliate identifier | Cookie identifier (am_user_session) | Created by the travel affiliate script (Travelpayouts) |
Your IP address is also passed to the services that deliver fonts and exchange-rate data, and to the travel affiliate program (Travelpayouts) when its script runs. See sections 5 and 6.
2. Purposes and retention
| Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|
| Running the site, fixing faults, blocking abuse | Access logs are kept and deleted under the hosting provider's (Cloudflare) policy |
| Reading power bank label numbers, finding specs | Not kept by the site (discarded after the result is returned). What reaches Anthropic is kept and deleted under Anthropic's policy |
| Stopping one person from pressing too many times a day (usage limit) | Usage-limit records are deleted automatically within 2 days |
| Counting visits and improving the service | Under Cloudflare Web Analytics policy (aggregate figures that do not identify you) |
| Showing ads and measuring them | Under Google's advertising cookie policy |
Where a law requires longer retention, that period applies.
3. Cookies and browser storage
- Browser storage (localStorage) — remembers what you last entered in a calculator and which calculators you opened recently. It is never sent to a server and stays on your device.
- Offline cache (service worker) — stores page files so pages open without a network. It holds no personal information.
- Cookies — used for the analytics and advertising described in section 4.
- Visit counting (Cloudflare Web Analytics) uses neither cookies nor browser storage. It counts visits without identifying anyone.
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; calculators will then stop remembering your inputs.
4. Personalized advertising
The site shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Behavioral data collected | Pages visited, ad views and clicks, advertising identifiers |
| How | Collected automatically by the ad script when you visit |
| Why | Showing ads that match your interests and measuring them |
| Retention | Under Google's advertising data policy |
To opt out of personalized ads:
- Turn off personalized ads in Google My Ad Center
- Use the NAI opt-out page or YourOnlineChoices
- Reset your phone's advertising ID or turn off ad personalization
- Block third-party cookies in your browser
See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
5. Sharing and service providers
The site does not sell or give your personal information to third parties. It does use the services below to run, and access information reaches them in the process.
| Provider | Task | Information |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) | Hosting and delivery (including trip-video map images), storing usage-limit records for the power bank buttons and "view stays" (airports without cost data), visit counting (Web Analytics) | IP address, access logs |
| Anthropic, PBC (USA) | Reading numbers from power bank label photos, finding the maker's specs from a model name (web search) | Label photo (a smaller copy), brand, model name and capacity you wrote or that were read from the photo (only when you press the button; no IP address) |
| Volentio JSD Limited (UK) — jsDelivr CDN | Delivering font files | IP address, browser information |
| ExchangeRate-API | Exchange-rate lookups | IP address (when a calculator page opens) |
| OpenStreetMap Foundation (UK) | Finding coordinates from place names | Place and city names you wrote (only when you press "find location"; no IP address) |
| Go Travel Un Limited (Hong Kong) — Travelpayouts | Site verification, travel affiliate links | IP address, browser and device information, page address, cookie identifier |
| Google LLC | Showing and measuring ads | Access logs, ad cookie identifiers |
6. Transfers outside Korea
All providers in section 5 run servers outside Korea, so access information is transferred abroad. As required by Article 28-8 of the Personal Information Protection Act:
| Recipient | Country | Items | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. Privacy policy | USA and data centers worldwide | IP address, time of access, browser and device information | Hosting and delivery (including trip-video map images), visit counting (Web Analytics) |
| Volentio JSD Limited (jsDelivr CDN, registered in the UK) Privacy policy | UK and CDN locations worldwide | IP address, browser information | Delivering font files |
| ExchangeRate-API Terms and privacy | Ireland, Germany, South Africa | IP address | Exchange-rate lookups |
| OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy policy | UK, Netherlands (backups in the EU) | Place and city names you wrote | Finding coordinates from place names |
| Anthropic, PBC Privacy policy | USA | Label photo (a smaller copy), brand, model name and capacity | Reading power bank label numbers, finding the maker's specs |
| Go Travel Un Limited (Travelpayouts, Hong Kong company no. 1658681) Privacy policy | Hong Kong | IP address, browser and device information, page address, cookie identifier | Site verification, travel affiliate links |
| Google LLC Privacy policy | USA and others | Access logs, cookie identifiers | Advertising |
When and how: sent automatically over the network when you open the site. The transfer to the OpenStreetMap Foundation happens only when you press "find location" on the itinerary page, and the transfer to Anthropic only when you press "read from a label photo" or "find specs" on the power bank calculator. If you don't press them, nothing is sent. Retention follows each provider's privacy policy.
How to refuse: stop using the site, or block access and cookies for those domains in your browser. Fonts and exchange rates may then fail, so pages and results may not display correctly. Blocking emrld.ltd (Travelpayouts) or deleting the am_user_session cookie does not affect the calculators.
7. Deletion
- Process — information is deleted without delay once its retention period ends or its purpose is met. Where another law requires keeping it, it is stored separately for that period and then deleted.
- Method — electronic files are deleted so they cannot be recovered; any printouts are shredded or burned.
- Values in your browser — these exist only on your device, so the site cannot delete them. You can clear them any time with your browser's "clear site data".
8. Your rights
You may ask at any time to see, correct, delete or stop the processing of your personal information. Send a request in writing or by email to the contact below and it will be handled without delay. Information about children under 14 is not collected.
The site itself holds almost no personal information; access logs and ad or analytics data are held by each provider. You may need to ask those providers directly, and the site will help where needed.
9. Security
- The whole site is served over HTTPS.
- Collection is kept to a minimum: calculations run on your device, and the only things that go through a server are the ones you press a button for — finding a location, reading a power bank photo, finding specs and viewing stays (airports without cost data).
- Admin accounts use two-step verification with the least access needed.
