Where these numbers come from
- AREX fares and first/last trains: AREX official timetable and fare pages. Express ₩13,000 (child ₩9,500); all-stop by station with a transport card.
- Limousine buses: Incheon Airport bus search (route, fare, first and last bus by terminal). Luggage: 2 bags per person free, then ₩8,000 each (Airport Limousine notice, 2026-04-07).
- Taxi: Seoul mid-size meter (₩4,800 for the first 1.6 km, ₩100 per 131 m, ₩200 per minute in slow traffic), night +20% (22:00–23:00, 02:00–04:00) or +40% (23:00–02:00), plus the ₩3,200 airport expressway toll. Large and deluxe taxis: ₩7,000 for the first 3 km, ₩200 per 151 m, night +20% (22:00–04:00). Road distance from OpenStreetMap routing, via the airport expressway.
- International Taxi: flat fares by Seoul district, toll included (intltaxi.co.kr and Seoul city).
- Late-night buses: Incheon Airport late-night bus pages (T1 and T2 timetables, fares, minutes to each stop). Where the bus doesn't reach your area, the short taxi ride from the last stop is estimated from road distance.
- Marked est.: daytime limousine travel times (operators publish almost none), metro transfer fares, children's all-stop fare (half, estimated), taxi traffic time, when a large taxi is needed, and the taxi ride after a late-night bus.
How to choose, in one minute
- Alone or as a couple with light bags: the AREX all-stop train is the cheapest — ₩4,750 per person to Seoul Station from Terminal 1 — then a short metro ride.
- Heavy bags, no stairs: the limousine bus takes you into your area without a transfer (₩17,000–₩18,000 per person).
- Three or four people: check the taxi. Three adults to Myeongdong: bus ₩51,000, taxi about ₩54,100–₩57,100. Four adults: bus ₩68,000, taxi about ₩54,100–₩57,100.
- After midnight: late-night bus or taxi. Two people landing at 23:20 and heading to Myeongdong: bus ₩36,000, taxi about ₩74,500.
Tickets and payment
For the all-stop train, tap a T-money card or buy a single-use card at the machine (₩100 extra, plus a ₩500 deposit you get back at your exit station). Express tickets are sold online and at the AREX desk on the basement level. Limousine tickets are sold at counters and 24-hour machines; K Limousine accepts printed tickets only.
What this calculator doesn't know
Traffic. Limousine operators publish almost no daytime travel times, so bus and taxi times are ranges, marked as estimates. Fares are checked against the operators' pages and Seoul city's taxi fare table; check again before you travel.

Questions
What is the cheapest way from Incheon Airport to Seoul?
The AREX all-stop train: ₩4,750 from Terminal 1 to Seoul Station with a T-money card (₩5,350 from Terminal 2), about 59 minutes. It runs 05:14–23:38 from Terminal 1.
Is a taxi worth it for a group?
Compare the two for your group. To Myeongdong in the daytime, three people pay ₩51,000 by limousine bus or about ₩54,100–₩57,100 by taxi; four people pay ₩68,000 by bus or about ₩54,100–₩57,100 by taxi — one car, ₩3,200 expressway toll included. With five or more people, or more than three bags, you will likely need a large taxi, which costs more.
I land after midnight. What are my options?
Trains have stopped (last all-stop train 23:38 from Terminal 1). Four late-night buses (N6000, N6002, N6701, N6703) leave the airport until about 04:50 for ₩17,000–₩18,000 per adult; for some areas you finish with a short taxi ride from the last stop. Or take a taxi with a night surcharge of 20–40%. The first trains leave around 05:10.
Can I pay the limousine bus in cash?
Mostly no at Incheon Airport. Buy a ticket at the counter or the ticket machine first. K Limousine (routes 6701–6705A) takes printed tickets only. On Airport Limousine 6001, 6002 and 6015 from Terminal 1, cash and transport cards are accepted if seats are left after ticket holders board.
What is the International Taxi flat fare?
A fixed price by Seoul district, toll included: ₩70,000–₩95,000 for a standard car (3 people, 3 bags) and ₩100,000–₩140,000 for a large one (6 and 6). Book at least 24 hours ahead; a name-sign pickup is ₩15,000 extra.
